Dec. 8th, 2002 07:03 pmWas driven to Hammersmith by
etcher to drop off some of her prints this afternoon. I like being driven - I like driving too, but sometimes it is nice to just sit back and watch the road uncurl in front of you, listening to music and chatting and thinking about other journeys.
A day wouldn’t be a day without a conf call - and today's coincided with almost reaching our destination - bad timing, but not a disaster. Things are looking up for the problems we have been trying to resolve over the last few days - fingers crossed that everything continues to work out.
After dropping off the prints we headed into the centre - parked at the National (bargain at five quid) and then took a cab to Selfridges (less of a bargain - but oooooh... there is something so warm and nice about cabs when it is cold and yucky outside...especially the old ones). Couldn’t find any of Emma's prints there - probly cos they have been snapped up by a perceptive art-head. Had an average lunch at about 3:00pm and then marched off to Liberty.
It is such a nice shop...so many things that are just....nice... Easy to spend a lot of money - but somehow worth it because the stuff is er... nice. even the Christmas cards. I might actually send them this year, instead of just writing them, buying the stamps and leaving 'em on the side and somehow never getting round to posting them. This may be why we get so few in return. Although the local Indian takeaway can always be relied on to send one. Sometimes two.
