Tampa was - as it so often is - hot and humid. At least i didn't get eaten by alligators this time.
I'll spare you the details of the meeting and so forth - it was work stuff ...'nuff said. Did have some excellent food though - especially a crab the size of the Isle of Wight at a seafood place called Landry's. Very tasty...and very messy to eat...spent the rest of the night licking butter off my fingers...
The trip home was a Good Thing since I got upgraded to First on BA. Being pampered ona 9 hour flight is veh good - especially when they are serving Krug champage, Mersault and Chateau Margaux. They even cooked me some pasta with olive oil and parmesan, which I thought was very decent of 'em...
However, even the pleasures of a lie-flat bed, duvet and pillow can do nothing to tackle jet-lag, so I spent most of yesterday in a sort of confused half-sentient fug, went to bed at 2:30am this morning (partly because Invasion of the Body Snatchers was on - gotta love that movie!!) and slept until 11.00 today...
Went to worship Mammon at the Place of Azure Waters - primarily in an effort to resolve a clothing crisis for Em (ref the dance champs tomorrow) but still mamanged to treat myself to a tube of mud face mask. I know. I am vain. But I like face-packs, all right?
Other hot news.... I passed the audition and will be playing Sir Robert Chiltern in An Ideal Husband in...errr...October I think it is... Of the two male leads this is the one that doesn't get all the hot Wildean quips, but hey...I'm not complaining...Just hope I can still remember lines like I used to be able to... These days I sometimes find that my memory wanders, and right in the middle of doing something I just forget what it was that I was
