Jun. 5th, 2004 12:44 pmTomorrow I am off to Sitges, near Barcelona, for a conference. For the first time in my life I shall be flying Easyjet - a new experience and one I'm actually looking forward to. I'm staying at the Gran Melia Hotel - which looks fairly nightmarish, but has had some good reviews about friendly staff and nice facilities.
I fly out hideously early tomorrow morning and reckon that I will arrive in Sitges in time for a spot of lunch followed by a stroll around the town. Sitges is - I gather - the gay holiday capital of Spain: a fact that has caused some sniggering amongst colleagues at work, not least because my boss is going to the same conference.
The conference includes some manner of night out in Barcelona. Hmmmm...these sort of organised fun events are not usually my cup of tea, but maybe I will be able to sneak off and have another poke around at the Sagrada Familia. I liked it there. Oh yes.
