Sep. 10th, 2005 01:40 pmI was going to finish painting the rest of the back room today, but I got distracted by going food shopping and accidentally buying the new Goldfrapp gramophone disk, Supernature. Arguably a foolish thing to do, since my CD player isn't working. However, I am listening to it on the PC, backing it up to iTunes, re-charging the iPod and drinking a cup of coffee (see me multi-task!). It really is very good.
This week has been a kind of hell at work. Maybe it's that everyone is returning from summer holidays refreshed and invigorated, or maybe it's that two weeks off work have left me accustomed to a slower pace - but whatever the reason, it has been extremely hectic and I am knackered. Perhaps I shall leave the painting and have a restful weekend.
I ran a good team meeting up in Manchester on Thursday, which was pleasing. I mention it because I felt hideously under-prepared as I was labouring under the delusion that it was next Thursday. However, it all went very well, and has given me some ideas on how to use the about-to-be-deployed wiki to publish and maintain the IT roadmap (gripping, eh?).
