In touch with my feminine side..
Jan. 7th, 2004 08:17 pmI went to see Kill Bill Vol. 1 last night. Frankly, I could have planned it better. I reserved at the Odeon Leicester Square - the nasssty Mezzanine one next door to the proper one. No problem there, you might observe - until I remind you tjhat it was "Tom Cruise Hugs the People of London Night" in Leicester Sq. He really is quite tiny. But I idled thirty minutes away watching him scurry hither and yon on his tiny little legs gorging on the adulation of a baying crowd.
The film though was remarkable. Very bloody, but remarkable. Actually, "very bloody" doesn't quite capture it... It was awash with severed limbs, decapitations and spouting gouts.... all of which makes it sound a bit gross and vile - but it managed to be funny and touching as well... I liked it.
