Jan. 11th, 2004 02:44 pmYesterday was Birthday day for the Girls - no 11 years old...(doesn't time fly...ooo they are getting tall....they are sooo grown up now etc etc etc). They had Pirates!!! Pirate dvd's, pirate books and a pirate ship with sundry assorted yo-ho-ho type figures. There was cake and candles too. Hurrah for birthdays!!
Em was out in the evening so rather than face the dismal prospect of a Saturday night in on me tod I phoned a chum who I was in the play with and we went out for some grub. This will mean little to those of you not familiar with the delights of Eltham, sarf-east London but Mellins (once a chemist, then a wine bar, then a tapas bar, then an italo-spanish fusion mistake) is now called...er..Claudio's...and is a really rather good Italian risorante. I had grilled sardines followed by grilled sea bass and all was good with the world. Hurrah!
